01 — The Starting Point
When this work began in September 2023, Vertex Mastery had no marketing team or established traffic channels. Revenue initially relied on personal connections.
The work over the next three years covered building the marketing team, establishing acquisition activity, developing customer journeys, and making key business numbers easier for the founder to see.
02 — My Contribution
I built and trained the marketing team, training more than 10 people across digital marketing, social content, media buying, and graphic design.
My own scope also included:
- Managing Meta advertising and organic social media.
- Building funnels and automation in GoHighLevel for acquisition, follow-up, and recurring customer journeys.
- Building a marketing operating system with a mobile app that gave the founder a consolidated view of key business numbers.
These responsibilities describe my contribution. The revenue results describe the company’s performance during that period.
03 — Building the Marketing Capability
Building the team and training people were central parts of the work. The training spanned both the acquisition side of marketing—digital marketing and media buying—and the content and design work needed to support it.
The company developed a marketing team that could operate independently.
The figure of more than 10 people refers to the number I trained across these disciplines. It is not a claim about the team’s size at one time.
04 — Acquisition and Customer Journeys
I managed Meta advertising and organic social media, and built the funnels and automation in GoHighLevel.
The GoHighLevel work covered acquisition, follow-up, and recurring customer journeys. This brought the scope beyond initial customer acquisition into the processes for continuing the relationship.
05 — Reporting for the Founder
I built a marketing operating system with a mobile app to give the founder a consolidated view of key business numbers.
This was a reporting and business-visibility contribution alongside the work on people, acquisition, and automation. Internal screenshots are not included in this case study.
06 — Company Results and Attribution
Based on my own internal tracking records, annual company revenue tripled over the September 2023–September 2026 period. This is a company result during my contribution, not a claim that I was the sole cause of the growth.
Based on my own internal tracking records, marketing accounted for approximately 90% of company revenue. This is an internal attribution estimate. It has not been independently verified, and attribution does not by itself establish causation.
Both figures are reported by me, Jin Kang Lim. The company name and figures are approved for publication. The underlying records are not presented here as independently audited evidence.
07 — What This Work Demonstrates
This case study brings together four areas of my work: building marketing capability, managing acquisition, developing CRM journeys, and creating reporting for a business owner.
It shows the scope of my contribution across people, channels, systems, and business visibility. The reported company results provide context for that work, with the attribution limits stated above.
